The "Browse vs. Buy" Gap.

In modern e-commerce, users often browse for hours but abandon carts due to clunky navigation or overwhelming interfaces. The challenge was to transform a standard catalog into an emotional shopping experience that feels like flipping through a high-end fashion magazine.

 

Immersive Discovery We designed Velvet to strip away the noise. By utilizing a "Card-First" UI and negative space, we focused the user's attention entirely on the product photography. The navigation is intuitive, allowing users to switch between collections (Men, Women, Accessories) without losing their place in the feed.

 

Optimizing for Conversion.

We engineered the platform to minimize friction between "I like this" and "I own this."


  • Smart Filtering: The search experience uses dynamic tags (Size, Color, Brand) to help users narrow down thousands of SKUs instantly.


  • The "Hero" Detail Page: The Product Detail screen is the heart of the app. We prioritized high-resolution zoom, clear sizing guides, and a sticky "Add to Cart" button to drive action.

  • Frictionless Checkout: We redesigned the payment flow to be linear. By integrating Apple Pay and Google Pay directly into the product page, we reduced the steps to purchase by 50%.
